Nature in Your Sites/Location
I work in Westridge gravel pit, in Oyama, British Columbia. We have several different animals that come and visit us during the spring, summer and fall. They range from a doe and her twins, a brown praying mantis, a very fat marmitt, coyotes, birds and my loveable chipmunks.
In the middle of the summer i started to put out bird food for the local birds and low and behold a chipmunk started to visit my bird feeders. I was outside during much of the summer and the fall so they became use to me. I would talk to them whenever I saw them. The one in the picture I named cheeky, it was sitting behind me on the back of my chair, when I got up to take a pictures of it, it did not move. Towards the end of fall, I had a chipmunk "army" of 15. Most of them were so use to all the trucks, the noise and me that they would not run away. Hopefully I will see my little friends again this year.
