Don José Gaona is the pulsating heart of the Pifo Aggregates Plant. His dedication and expertise in machinery seem to breathe life into each piece of equipment, as if they could sense his soul.
For over two decades, Don José has been fine-tuning and operating the machinery with a skill that can only be acquired through practice and passion. His commitment to the Pifo AGG Plant dates back to 1994 when he left his warm hometown of Machala to rise to 3000 meters above sea level in the cold province of Pichincha.
Since then, he has been a cornerstone in the operation and success of the plant, building progress for people and the planet. In Don José, we find the true spirit of our Holcim people: dedication, commitment, and passion for building a sustainable future.
