I am Phylis Kangogo, a Key Accounts Manager in the Infrastructure segment. In this realm, predominantly dominated by men, I am deeply honored to represent Holcim, entrusted with such a pivotal responsibility. Today, I am thrilled to present an iconic image: the Dongo Kundu Bypass project. This photograph epitomizes a monumental achievement – Bamburi Cement's contribution of 100% cement for a major endeavor. The piling, erected with our environmentally-friendly cement, underscores its exceptional resilience against chloride ion penetration, sulfate resistance, and low heat of hydration. The Dongo Kundu Bypass Bridge, poised to become the longest overwater road and bridge, symbolizes connectivity. It serves as a vital link between Mombasa and Kwale County, extending further to enhance connectivity between Kenya and Tanzania, thereby unlocking boundless developmental opportunities in the South Coast region.
